Suwhono, S.E.

Suwhono (born March 4, 1955) is an Indonesian professional who serves as the President Director of PT. Pegadaian. Suwhono completed his undergraduate studies at Diponegoro University in 1980. Suwhono’s career began at Bank Bumi Daya from 1981-2000, then in 2000-2009 at Bank Mandiri which is a bank resulting from the merger of four state-owned banks including Bank Bumi Daya. In 2005-2009 he served as Commissioner of PT. Mandiri Sekuritas. In 2009, Suwhono was trusted by the government to carry out the duties as Finance Director of PT. Pelindo I Medan until February 2011.

Under his leadership, Pegadaian is currently able to develop its business. Not only focused on the pawn business, but also developing by selling gold and conducting micro financing.
