Career and contributions
Dr. (H.C.) Hendarman Supandji, S.H. (born January 6, 1947) was the Attorney General of Indonesia from May 9, 2007 to September 24, 2010. He replaced Abdul Rahman Saleh and was replaced by Deputy Attorney General Darmono (as acting). Before being dismissed, since September 22, 2010 the validity of Hendarman’s position was debated following the Constitutional Court’s decision to grant part of Yusril Ihza Mahendra’s lawsuit against the Attorney General’s term of office in Law No. 16 of 2004. He is the older brother of the Candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta for the 2012-2017 period, Hendardji Soepandji and the Governor of Lemhanas for the 2010-2015 period, Budi Susilo Soepandji.
Hendarman Supandji is an alumnus of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (1972) when he was pursuing his undergraduate education.
